Linda Collura Scholarship Fund
Established as a tribute to honor the legacy of Chatham artist and educator Linda S. Collura. Collura was a vital member of the artistic and educational landscape of our community—maintaining a local studio where her work concentrated on vibrant landscapes, botanicals, creatures, and abstracts; participating in local arts organizations; and working as a visual arts teacher, in Wake, Chatham and, most recently, Lee County Public Schools. Collura and her students were among the artists who created the Haw River Mural in downtown Pittsboro in 2008.
This fund will support the annual NHSAEF Visual Arts Scholarship Award to deserving students pursuing higher education. Contributions to the fund can be made here. Since its inception in 2007, NHSAEF has presented more than $100,000 in scholarships and grants that have increased student exposure to the arts.
